Each year during May Institute faculty and staff, programs, courses, co-curricular units, and university assessments are presented in a poster session. Posters are available to view throughout the week and this year awards will be presented for outstanding assessment work.
ASSESSMENT SPOTLIGHT
Dr. Teresa Bixby, Assistant Vice Provost for Assessment and Educational Effectiveness, shared the work of the Gen Ed Integrative Learning assessment at May Institute 2024. This work illustrates the essential teamwork of 6 domain experts to assess students’ reflection in Interdisciplinary Seminar, Globalization, and Civic Engagement Courses. The poster work highlights the final results of an assessment, revision to the rubric, and reassessment.
Assessment of Reflection Essays for Integrative Learning – Poster
Dr. Christie Billups and the Theology Department shared their Syllabus Diversity Study at May Institute 2024. This project represents the important work that the Department is doing to ensure a diversity of social identities are included in course materials and topics, that assessments are inclusive, and that materials are accessible.

Kalya Decant, Project Director for Prevention and Outreach in the Office of the Dean of Students, shared the outcome of Alcohol Education program that has been implemented for first-year students. This work highlights the important holistic development of Â鶹¸ßÇå students.

2025 POSTER SUBMISSION
While the template below highlights the relevant information that should be provided in the poster, presenters are encouraged to customize their posters to highlight their courses, programs, or units, and to emphasize assessment best-practices (multiple pieces of evidence, closing the loop, etc.).
